Getting Started

Set up your fleet in a few minutes. Follow these steps:

Click Get Started Free to set up your account. This takes you to the Sign-up page.

On the sign-up page, enter all required information, including your Login ID(you'll use this to sign in). When your fleet is created you'll receive a unique Business Code— your fleet's identity. You and every one of your authorized employees use it (with your Login ID and password) to sign in to the CabTrac app. Save it somewhere safe.

Review the Terms and Privacy Policy.

Check (tick) “I agree to the Terms and Privacy Policy”.

Click Create my fleet – free.

Click Download App if you haven't already — get it from the Download page.

Installing on Your Phone (Android)

After downloading, open the file to install. CabTrac needs a few permissions to work fully — please Allow them when the app asks:

Install from unknown sources — when you open the downloaded APK, allow installation — CabTrac isn't on the Play Store yet, so Android asks once. This is normal and safe.
Location — "Allow all the time" — so trips are recorded even when CabTrac is in the background or the screen is off. Choosing “Only while using the app” will miss background trips.
Camera — to capture odometer, fuel/receipt and cash photos as proof during a session.
Photos & media — allow full access — you attach photos to sessions, so grant full gallery access(not “selected photos only”) so uploads work reliably.
Notifications — Allow — for the live trip-tracking notice and renewal/expiry reminders.

Important — keep GPS running in the background

On Xiaomi/Redmi, Oppo, Vivo, Realme, Infinix and Tecno phones, Android aggressively closes apps to save battery — which stops trip tracking. To prevent it:

Turn on Autostart for CabTrac.
Set its battery usage to “No restrictions” / “Don't optimize”.
In the recent-apps screen, lock CabTrac so it isn't swiped away.

Changed your mind on a prompt? You can fix any permission later in Settings → Apps → CabTrac → Permissions.

GPS trip tracking is in preview:it's still being refined and needs the settings above on each phone, so it's currently available for overview. Everything else in CabTrac works normally.

Installing on Your Desktop (Windows)

The desktop app is your Owner Dashboard — full control from a laptop/PC, plus PDF-printable reports. To install:

Download the installer (CabTrac-Setup.exe) from the Download page.

Open it. If Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”, click More info → Run anyway— CabTrac isn't code-signed yet, so this is expected.

Approve the Windows permission (UAC) prompt to allow the install.

CabTrac installs with a Start-Menu shortcut (and an optional desktop shortcut) and an uninstaller.

Launch CabTrac from the Start Menu and sign in with your Business Code, Login ID and Password.

Updating later? Just download and run the newer installer — it upgrades in place and your data stays safe in the cloud.
